Some people say that when they dial my extension sometimes they get a fax tone. Is this a known issue?

Colleagues say that on occasion when they dial my extension they hear a fax dial tone. Is this a known issue?

Do you know, or can you confirm what the exact number(s) they are dialing?  I changed this to a private thread so you can post numbers.  If they are dialing the fax number that would be "fax only" so I'm guessing they are dialing that number. Your other number is currently set up as "voice and fax".

They Dialed our main number 213.377.5500 and hit extension 1. And got a fax tone. We have a completely different number for our fax line. Our service works half the time. odd things occur all the time and I think it was because someone tried porting out this number a year after we purchased it. Odd things all the time.

Hello David,

That's very odd. We will need you to open up a case with us and include a Call Sample that is no older than 24 hours so we can investigate this.
