Automatically Join an RC Meeting Muted/Video Turned Off

Have you ever been in a RingCentral Meeting where you have a hard time concentrating on the presenter because another participant is breathing into their mic, driving, eating their lunch, talking to others, etc.? It can be quite distracting for all the participants and very embarrassing for the individual who forgot to mute themselves when they joined the meeting. 

Don't be "that guy".... You can set your RingCentral Meetings Profile so that your Video is turned off and your Audio is muted automatically each time you join a RingCentral Meeting.

1) Log into your RingCental Meetings Application


2) Click on the Settings icon


 3) Select the Audio Section and check mark the appropriate boxes.
Note: I prefer to have these two boxes checked

4) Select the Video Section and check mark the Turn off my video when joining
meetings box

Can we apply settings for a meeting where everyone arrives muted?

Hi Jamie,

You do have the option to Mute Participants once the Meeting has started under Manage Participants
