Need Solution for Gate Opener / Intercom to Cisco ATA FXO port to ring RingCentral Phones

Customer has a Gate and Intercom that has an analog interface. Gate manufaturer tells me that it needs to ring into an FXO port on a PBX or ATA. The goal is for someone to press intercom button at gate, that rings (via the ATA) some Ringcentral Polycom IP phones and then they can press ** to allow the gate to open

Hello,

Although this may work with an ATA if there is an internet service interruption or issue the gate would not open which is why we do not recommend or support this type of configuration.  We have seen customers use this type of setup but it was set up without the help of RingCentral which is why we can not offer tips other than verifying an ATA connected to an analog telephony device may work this way.

Thank you Peter. They do have badge/key card readers than can open the gate as well. So this is not the only method. While I understand Ringcentral does not officially support this configuration can you (or someone) point me to FXO related integration options / ATAs that other customers may have used for a solution like this?

The customers that I helped who had this type of setup were using the standard RingCentral issued Cisco SPA-122 though they may and likely did have altered the default settings from the out of box settings.  I am sorry I can not offer more detail since it was already set.

I apologize for not including this earlier, though there are other vendors which do have devices designed specifically for this: Cyberdata has SIP-based devices and there is also Viking making analog systems that most likely will work with an ATA.  We do have some articles on setting up a Cyberdata device as paging devices though since the company is familiar with RingCentral it should be something they could help you with.  I hope that helps a little more.
