Hi Grant,

I want to make sure I'm following correctly: you already have a physical phone at home that you want to connect to RingCentral so you can make outbound calls using your RingCentral service? Do you know if the model of your phone supports VoIP/SIP calling? Depending on whether or not it functions as a SIP phone there are two ways you can set the phone up with RingCentral service.

If the phone is a true digital phone with support for those features you can likely get it set up, though it would have to be set up manually as we do not directly support any Samsung phones. See our article on Provisioning a Third-Party SIP Phone for instructions.

If the phone uses an classic "landline" analog connection through a standard phone cable, you can still use the phone with RingCentral but you would need an Analog Telephony Adapter (ATA) in order for it to have an internet connection. RingCentral officially supports the Cisco SPA-122 ATA, Cisco Linksys 2102 ATA, and the Cisco Linksys PAP2T ATA. Any of these devices can connect to an existing analog phone and provide it with RingCentral service.
