is it possible to export call log into excel allowing the log to be automatically updated?

I am wondering if you can use the queries and connections in excel to keep call logs updated in excel?

what i have found out so far:
- when you use the web link in the queries and connections; you get directed to the log in screen
- if you export/download the data; it only give you call logs that exist and will not update.

my intentions with call logs:
- export data on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis to predict hold times of contacts.
- use trends to know what times its most efficient to call contacts

is there a way to get through the login screen? what can i do to get automatically updating spread sheets? is this possible?

You can already setup an automated export of basic and detailed call logs. For example I have the systems set to email me each Monday with the last week's detailed call logs (includes duration and individual call steps around our company's call routing system).

To do this follow the below article:

Depending on your email client you could script it to automatically save the attachment and use an Excel macro to combine the old log file with the new calls.
