Initiate a call from Windows app, but then use desk phone

Anyone remember the old days when you had two phones in your house and you could start a call on one phone, but then pick up the line on the phone in your bedroom for more privacy? I want something like that. I want to initiate a call from my computer (manually dial it in the app, click a link on a web page, or maybe call a contact from Outlook) but then use my desk phone to actually talk on the call. I see lots of guides on transferring a call to my cell phone then my home phone or transferring a call to another person, but none that seem to deal with switching between my desktop computer and my desktop phone.

I'm pretty sure this would be the 'Flip' call feature.  Or when on a desk phone you can click on the 'Switch to this device' button at the top right of the Softphone to pull the call to the PC.

You can flip the call from your soft phone to your desk phone:

This will ring your desk phone with the active call from the soft phone.

Thanks Rob! This really helped. I read the documents on Call Flip, but they never talk about flipping from the softphone to the desk phone. The way it reads to me is that Call Flip is a feature to flip the call from RingCentral to my Verizon phone or my LEC.

I have always found that if you're not sure if something can be done, just experiment with it. Nothing will break....it will either work the way you hope and expect or it won't.
