"Presence" without the details

I would like to know my business partner's status without knowing the specific phone number he is talking to. Is there a way to set this in presence so I see he is on the phone but without seeing the specific phone number? I know the Presence feature was designed for master/surf situations but is there a way to limit what information is transmitted?

You can contact support and have them set it so that the call info only shows up for users who have permission to monitor your calls.

I contacted support. They told me that "Monitored Extensions Calling Info" is part of Call Monitoring not HUD. She said there is no way do disable the phone number from the HUD Display when Presence is on.

Did you read that thread I linked? It would indicate the opposite.

I've had numerous times where phone support reps have been completely wrong. I would suggest you have them turn that off. I haven't changed it for my account yet, but if I get a chance I'll do that today and report back here as well.
