How to change an app setting from private to public after creating it

I was wondering about how to change an app setting from private to public after creating it?

If we create an app with private settings, can it be changed to public after creating it?

I am not getting the way to change

Once the app is created you cannot change that feature. The best you can do is to clone the app and make necessary modification in the clone app and then remove the original app .

My name is Byrne Reese, and I am a Product Manager working at RingCentral. I thought it might be nice to explain WHY you can do this, and what we are planning to help make this easier for developers.

The reason why one cannot edit the Platform Type and App Type after an application has been created has to do with the fact that the fields and options that are exposed by an app are dependent upon the values of these fields. IOW: apps are "strongly typed" and cannot be cast into another type.

To address this we plan on redesigning the App Creation wizard to be much clearer about this to help developers create an app properly the first time.
