Anyone have luck decreasing their user/line count mid-contract as a result of COVID related business declines?

Hey there RC community!

Unfortunately, COVID related business declines have caused the office I work for to go from 50+ team members to about 30 team members. We'll be making further cuts when federal assistance (PPP) runs out in the next week and the team member count will drop to between 15-20.

With that, has anyone had any luck working with RC to adjust their contract's user count? We had no idea when we signed up for a three year agreement, that we're currently a year into, that we have no way to decrease our user/line count. When reaching out to RC sales, they said they'll decrease our counts by about 10-20% (5-10 users/lines) but will require us to extend our term by another year (a $2-4K annual savings in exchange for an additional $17K contractual obligation).

I understand that RC is a business, and that we signed a contract, but I'm interested to see if anyone else has had luck working with RC through this difficult time. All of our other tech vendors have been immensely helpful and allowed us to adjust mid-contract as a result of COVID contraction.

Admins: I'm not posting this to defame RC by any means, I just understand there are many sales reps out there and I'm sure they're offering different options. I want to hear from the community as saving 50-70% on our RC bill, due to lines not being used, could be the difference between keeping a couple employees employed or not.
