If you were able to convert your 'hold music' section (in the admin online interface) into more of a 'playlist' experience (allowing for multiple independent audio clips to be uploaded) it would create an amazing experience for all involved.
Allowing us to upload individual 'audio clips' (that we have professionally done or do ourselves) and giving us the ability to sort them in a specific order (eg. Where clip #1 plays first, #2 second, etc.) or in a shuffle mode (randomizing the clips to make it more interesting for the caller) would allow us to use our 'hold feature' to become a dynamic sales tool. This is something most businesses should find valuable if they like 'upselling' or 'passing on additional business info' to the customers/prospects that are already on their phone.
Example of this playlist section:
Active Clip #1: 10 second 'thank you for being a customer message'
Active Clip #2: 15 second 'Special on X Product, Until X date message'
Active Clip #3: 30 second music clip #1
Active Clip #4: 10 second 'reminder of our upcoming holiday hours message'
Active Clip #5: 30 second music clip #2
Active Clip #6: 15 second 'want to get subscribed to our discount newsletter, go here message'
Active Clip #7: Etc, etc, etc.
Inactive Clip #1: 20 second 'christmas specials message' - inactive on 12/26/17
Inactive Clip #2: Etc. etc. etc.
If all of these active clips could shuffle, I wouldn't care what order they were in and every time a customer called they would hear something different than before...compared to the exact same audio clip they hear now every single time.
If you're willing and able to add this functionality for your customers, then maybe consider adding an expiration (or inactive) date to individually uploaded clips. Once the date comes, it would automatically turn the 'active audio clip' into an 'inactive clip.' This way we can create time-sensitive ads/audio clips and only 'active clips' would be playing in the playlist during phone hold functionality.
Think we can make this happen? :)
