Contacts: Adding Non RingCentral Users to Company Contacts

How to do I save new contacts as "Company" contacts? Currently all new contacts I create are stored as "Personal" contacts. Is there a way to pick where a new contact gets stored?

I really cannot believe this system does not offer this and this thread is 6 years old now. How lame!
I don't see any feedback from RC, do they even read these posts?

We have just joined RC and honestly cannot believe this feature isn't implemented yet , some of the requests are over 6 years old , wow !

As a new company with over 100 users this is the feature that I was most surprised is missing. Please ensure this is developed. I would consider this a threshold factor really.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Personal Contacts in New RingCentral App. The new RC Glip app is missing the ability to save personal contacts. The texting feature is not very helpful without this, as it quickly becomes difficult to keep track of phone numbers for clients. We are forced to save contacts from the website or continue to use RC Phone for texting so we can easily save numbers as we go.

Yikes! After hours waiting on RC Chat to ask about this feature and being directed to post in the community, my suggestion has been added to a thread from 7 years ago. This is a new problem that exists within the new Glip app. I'm not looking to merge non RC numbers/contacts with company contacts, I simply need the option to add someone as a contact if they text me through the new app, just like was an option on RC Phone.

I just don't understand how contacts on every level are not an option.

why is this NOT a feature?? I really would like to have contacts on all levels that any employee can access. In addition why can't I delete ones that were added by mistake via invite?

Hey there! We're hoping to have Fax contact lists added, so that way we can push out a list of Fax contacts to users. I was directed to put the request into here by Cesar, one of your chat support reps

We want to be able to manage fax contacts, and push them out to the entire company, instead of having to add them one by one to each user, which is tedious and time consuming, let alone having to set that up on each individual user's account
