Allow approved bluetooth headsets to answer calls using the Softphone or mobile app.

I would like to be able to answer calls on either the Ringcentral app or the softphone with my bluetooth headset. Is this possible? If it is not, when will it be? Many other VOIP companies have the ability to do this.

What if you just have the calls forwarded to your cell number using ringcentral and then use the bluetooth headset to answer them using your cell? Which is then in turn answering the softphone ringcentral caller. This would most definately work.

The only problem with that is that you have to press 1 on your phone to accept the call when it is forwarded to your cell, thus eliminating the convenience of a bluetooth. We have already tried this and it isn't a good solution. We should be able to use the app with a bluetooth. Clearly this will never be an option as 9 months have already passed since they said they were working on it.

Would love the option to answer calls through softphone via the button on the headset!

I've been using the Plantronics Legend bluetooth on a Galaxy S4. It works great to accept a call because I just say "answer". However, when you press the button to hang up the call, it makes a noise but doesn't hang up on incoming calls. I've made an a** of myself several times thinking the phone was hung up. lol  It works great on outgoing calls. I have my phone dialer set up to always call out using the Ring Central so that probably has something to do with it.
The first tweak that I made to my RC was to turn off the annoying "Press 1 to accept this call." If I don't want to accept a call then I will tell my bluetooth to "ignore". I missed about my first 10 phone calls because I couldn't find my phone to press 1. Now I have a bit more time to hunt it down so I can end an incoming call. Better but not perfect.

I want to add my request to this discussion.  I want to buy a wireless headset and be able to answer the softphone with it.  That way I am not having to run to the computer when the phone rings, and also so I can still be available if having to run an errand around the house.  Please get this update.

Here is the solution I am using the HS-1200  Install Autohotkey ( http://www.autohotkey.com/) Add this line in the

autohotkey !c::Send {F6}{Enter}

How this works
As ring central has removed the hotkey for ansering the phone it becomes diffucult to anser the phone without the mouse.  To accplish this you have to first bring the ring central soft phone into focus.  f6 does this.  When ring central is in focus then you can answer the phone using enter.    So with this we now have a way with the keyboard to answer the phone but we have the issue that that is not the keyboard command sent by the phone button on the headset.  To translate that into the f6-enter we take the alt-c that the headset sends and use autohotkey to send the new command.

I have tested this using the newest version of ring central can make no promises on any older version.

I wouldn't hold my breath...They have never fixed this problem even though they said they would a year ago. Lame.

Hey Desiree,

Whatever happened to this request? It's been over a year and we have never seen this functionality added. Not giving me any confidence in ring central.
