Caller ID after transfer

I think Ring Central should invest time and programming into displaying the caller id information when a transfer of the call is performed.  I use to have this capability when using CISCO phones and I would like to have it back.

When a call is received at the Administrator's line the LCD displays the caller id information.  When the Administrator performs a transfer to another Ring Central line within our organization, the caller id information is lost.  The name of the Administrator and their extension number display only.

This is very cumbersome when having to return calls that disconnect and looking up our client/patient's phone numbers in our proprietary practice management systems.

We simply can't provide the same level of customer service as we could when using the CISCO product phones.

Sorry - this option doesn't work. Using the blind transfer for my system pushes the calls directly into voicemail, which is again, not good customer service.

Question Mike - Do you think there will ever be a possibility that the call will not be a blind transfer but a warm transfer?

It's possible but I can''t guarantee anything.  The more "likes" this thread gets, increases the chances.  If you notice that the main topic above is marked as an "idea". All  "idea" topics on the Community are reviewed by our product team for consideration.

In my case I do not want to support the Call ID in "Warm Transfer" since in this cases is important to know from what extension is coming that particular transfer. And that is exactly the purpose of a Warm Transfer, the colleague who is doing the transfer should be announcing who is calling verbally. For all the other cases already exist the Feature Cold/Blind Transfer.

Hi Jen,  The process is a little different depending on which phones you are using. Here are a few links to help you out.

Cisco: Blind Transfer key | *0 | Ext number

Polycom: Transfer key | Blind key | *0 | Ext. number

Unfortunately, I don't want to transfer directly to voicemail.

What are the steps you are using. The procedure for blind transfer, and transfer to voicemail are different?
