It's not native with the APP itself, but you have the option to program it, via the NOTIFICATIONS tab, to send you a text message to your phone when you get an SMS message.  The reason you get a "pop up" notification in your smartphone app is because the phone and the app was made by the same engineers. 

Thank you for the response but we need the alert on the softphone not our smartphone.

We use a lot the Chat feature, from the Softphone and it will be more useful if the PopUp bubble that notifies that we have other line of chat comes "with the message", because if the app is not foreground and we are working in a different window, we need to go back to the softphone just to read... capisce ?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Desktop App popup notification of fax to remain on screen until closed.. The old software (which was much more usable) had a popup showing a new fax had been received.  This would remain on screen until I closed it.

Your new and definitely not improved software has a 5 second popup meaning I'm afraid to go to the bathroom for fear of missing a fax.

The old software worked perfectly for me.  The new software blows. 

How about giving those of us who are actual users a choice of how we are interface with ring central.  All I need is a virtual fax program.
