RingCentral Meetings: assistants need to schedule multiple meetings to be held at the same time

We have had a huge issue within our company with Executive assistants who are scheduling for multiple people.  Ring Central does not allow the assistant to hold / host multiple calls at the same time.  For example, I schedule a RC Meeting for the CEO with a group of individuals (I do not have to be on this call myself) but I have also scheduled myself on a call that I need to take part in.  RC will only allow one of the meetings to take place....not good!  This is a daily problem.

My suggestion would be to schedule the meetings with the host's credentials rather than your own.  Each subscription has their own unique conferencing host/participant code.

The problem with that is having to share user credentials...It would be nice if RC could allow users to delegate specific people as administrators of their account rather than having to share their password etc.

If you go under USERS, then down at the bottom of the screen is an option to edit permissions.  There you can made others and administrator.

I am already listed as an administrator.  How does this apply to RC Meetings?

You had asked " ...It would be nice if RC could allow users to delegate specific people as administrators of their account rather than having to share their password etc." My response was how to do that.  Guess I mis-understood.

Danno, we want the users to give the Site Admin or Administrative Assistant the ability to control their account without using their login credentials as it applies to meetings. As site admin we are able to control user access and limit certain functions. However, we need to be able to schedule meetings on behalf of the Executives. How do we do that without having their log-in? Especially since we cannot arrange multiple meetings under our profile. The meetings will not start without us ending our current meetings. This is a huge issue as I am the admin to the CEO and Managing Directors of my company and they meet at the same time with different clients.

Hi Melinda,  I understand your dilemma. If I'm not mistaken you are needing greater control/access as an Admin.  If you wish, you can take a look at this thread, which is an "idea" topic.  Add your comments to this thread explaining in detail what sort of admin control/access you would like to see developed. This way our product team can get a better understanding of what you and other users are wanting.

Greater Admin control over User Permissions

I believe I have a fix for this:
In the ringcentral website, Admin Portal, Users; if you click on each user, you will see their details pop up. At the bottom of their details screen is a button that is labeled: Schedule Meetings for Me. You can go into that menu and check off the names of people who have scheduling capability. Once you save that and refresh everything, you can use the Meetings app to schedule meetings for other users that you specified.

Thank you, Jerika, for posting!

There is a related topic regarding what Jerika mentioned: Schedule Meetings on Behalf of Others

That method used to work, however, now it is broken. When you go into schedule for someone else (who you have permission to schedule for), the name is not there, or you click on the name but the wrong name gets scheduled instead of the name you clicked on. Some names don't even show up as real names. They show up as random numbers. We will have to use Zoom now instead of Ringcentral, because this problem is causing so much trouble.

Hi, all. Is there a way to do this yet? We have users who schedule a number of  RC Meetings, but if they are currently in an RC Meeting, no one can join any of the other meetings the same user has scheduled, even if join before host is enabled.

In other words, is there a way to have two or more meetings created by the same person running at the same time?

Hey Monte4eqis,

Not at this time. I tested to verify and when I create 2 meetings, and joined one, no one can join the 2nd meeting I created. However, if I create a meeting and then create another meeting on behalf of someone else, things run smoothly.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Overlapping Meetings. Ring Central has to provide us the ability for a single user to schedule and run more than one meeting at a time.

I schedule meetings for my team and myself all the time and today found out the hard way by not being able to open a monthly client call that you can't run more than one bridge at a time.  This is unacceptable.  I can see this for video but this was for conference calling only.  Likewise, I had it setup to be able to join without the creator but no one could get on because my overlapping bridge was already open.  Ridiculous.

Please change this ASAP!
