Agreed!  Without even switching would be even better.  Have multiple extensions' messages available all the time.

The system needs to identify which extension is being accessed for the purpose of responding to messages and returning calls.  To go between extensions is beneficial to the admin and users of extensions granted by the admin.

This feature is needed.  Especially if you utilize the HIPPA compliant feature.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled drop down menu on mobile and desktop apps to switch from one extension to another.... It would be great if Ringcentral includes a dropdown menu on the top portion of the mobile and desktop apps to enable someone logged in as super admin to easily switch from one extension to another

Cool, but this is not quite like a drop-down for admin.  You simply create a toggle that allows any user to enter the number and password of each extension they use.   This allows the admin to toggle between all extensions and other users to log into and toggle between the extensions they have access to.

Yes please! As the solo owner/operator of my business with 3-5 extensions I'm monitoring at all times (and with the limitation of setting the outgoing SMS ID to the main company number on only one of the extensions...still don't understand  why this is) it is sooo time consuming to constantly have to keep logging out and logging in of each extension. A dropdown menu to switch extensions would be the perfect solution!!

That feature somewhat works if you have multiple local numbers assigned to a specific extension.  You can select a different number from the drop down list, however, being able to select different extensions from a drop down list would be a beautiful feature as an administrator....still waiting for this feature after 4 years....

The toggle between extension would accomplish this and be very easy.  Any admin only needs to log into each extension once and then it is all set up for ease of use.

Please add this feature soon. One requestor has been waiting 4 years for it. It would be a great time saver for business owners who don't want to have to log into each extension separately to check its messages and call logs, or to update the call handling and forwarding for each.

This would be helpful during an office outage. we could set the smartphone to monitor calls coming into different departments. During a complete outage we could have a few people work from home but they would need to answer all calls coming into all departments.

we need this. Just took hours to create extentions only to find out that you have to log in and out. What a time waste let alone frustrating.

Im looking for a different service as it seems nothing has changed from 2 years ago. Ive had ringcentral for nearly 9 years but it might be time to move on and find a better solution.

I understand and having such a feature as suggested seems to be a no brainer.

You need to have a feature that allows users to switch/toggle between user extensions.  Look at how Twitter does it.  You simply add user (or extension in the case of Ring Central), then you enter your extension and password for any added extension.  Once set up and logged in, you simply can toggle between extension so as to use the mobile or desktop app seamlessly without the arduous of logging in and out of extensions.  Doing that as it is, is very very very inefficient.  I suggested this 5 years ago, it is time to get this done.  This would be a very valuable feature that your customers would rave about.
