Log calls made when not signed in to salesforce upon sign in.

  1. US account
  2. Educational Sales 
  3. Upon login to Sales, Salesforce would pull the call logs since last login and add that information.  It already pulls the last call, I would like it to get more of the call logs
  4. Often times our sales team is away from their computer, but still making phone calls.  Or they are demoing something on their computer and have salesforce closed for an extended period of time.  If Ringcentral could push this information that would be helpful
  5. Better and easier reporting, better time management.

Hello James, 
You read our minds, we are contemplating #3 and #4 in the product update coming soon in Q2/Q3.  Can you please elaborate on #5 ?  if the requirement is generic enough for all our customers to benefit from we can certainly add to our product roadmap

Jitender, you mentioned this as a possibility in Q2/Q3 update. When will the announcement of what is new in these updates be released? Sorry to be pushy  :)

No problem Jeremy, We need all the force to make it happen. It is a complex and fairly large project, We are actively planning and contemplating

Thanks for responding quickly.  To elaborate, right now if I am making calls from the road on my phone using RC, I then have to enter in that information at a later time in SalesForce.  If a manager wants to see how much time that user is spending on the phone, they have to look at two places to get a full picture.  Ringcentral to get an accurate measurement of time spent on the phone, and then SF to get an idea as to what those calls were concerning.

+1 We need this as we have a small support team, and they can't sit in front of a computer all the time.

As we are having some delays in fully automated offline call logging, As we are working on a new generation of RingCentral for Salesforce 6.0 App.  We add a feature to this version where version still does not do automated offline call logging but makes it easier to log calls when user comes back to their desk after being on field/offline. User will be able to log their calls up to one week

Jitender, why don't you just add an option to receive an email for all calls made to an extension? You have the option for missed calls, text messages, and even a fax. If you can do the same thing for all calls, it would close the gap. The email sent out would trigger salesforce to create a case.

I'll try out the beta version....Is there a way for my salesforce developer create this capability just for me through some kind of Ring Central API?

Yes, there are RingCentral APIs that can be used to make call logs. Please refer to http://developer.ringcentral.com

How does offline call logging works in new version 6, it logs calls now when calls made from outside Salesforce, calls are logged but automatically tagged to lead/contact.

Hi Jitender,

We're up-voting this enhancement, and I'd like to clarify what we'd like to see because it seems like this might be a fairly quick fix.

Today, if a call comes in while a user is logged into Salesforce: The call is added to the Ring Central App History AND the call runs through a Ring Central workflow process that matches the call to a Salesforce contact (so long as there is only one match)

And, if a call comes in while a user is not logged in: The call is added to the Ring Central App History the next time that the user logs in, BUT the workflow process does not run.

I don't know exactly how this is built on the back end, but couldn't you guys just trigger the same workflow process to run whenever new calls are added to the Ring Central App History?

Also - in case it's helpful in prioritizing this: We're a former customer of both Dialpad and Zoom Phone -- and both of those platforms already fully log calls when the user is offline.
