Internal call caller ID

In the last years that we have been using ringcentral, when we do internal calls within the company it shows as the extension name/number.

After the update of the firmware, our phone rebooted and now when someone does internal calls, it now shows as BLF(insert number). I called tech support and was informed that it is the normal behavior of the phones. I do not understand why it shows the name on the last 3-4 years that we have been using it and now it shows as BLF(insert number) since the update.

I was told to do a feature request on it. So here I am. Please make it work again like it used to that shows the extension and not the BLF thing.

Thanks.

I'm having similar issue where all internal calls are identified as coming from the intern. It's very confusing and a time waster within the firm. Frankly it's unprofessional of RingCentral to break something that was functioning well, then call its repair a feature request.

We just started having this same problem. The user's name no longer appears but instead the company name and weird number like "lfxxxxxxxxx". Tech support also told me that this is "normal behavior" even though it only just happened after a recent firmware update on our Polycom phones.

We just started having the same problem.  I was adding a new Polycom phone to our office and the extension number that used to be displayed now shows the blfxxxxxxxx which on one of the Ring Central reports identified it as the Internal Mailbox ID.  After a year since the last report, is this still considered "normal behavior" from Polycom or Ring Central?  I'm not sure on which end lies the problem.
