Fully integrate RC phone app and RC app (Glip)

Right now RC Phone does not fully integrate with the RC (GLIP) app. I would like to be able to use both applications, but can't yet until the Glip app can receive text and phone calls from internal user phone extensions. Please - add users extensions to the RC app if you want this app to be used.

I receive calls from internal extensions on Glip all the time. I'm not sure if there is a setting that drives that but it's working for me.

Yes, you can do this for phone calls, but not for text messages. The Glip app will not find users by extension, unless that users extension is the same as their phone number. For example my number is 123-456-7890. ex 7890. Users can fine me in Glip because my extension and direct dial are the same number. If my ex was 8234, I would not be found.

When I am in Phone or People and use Search, I can search for an extension that doesn't match the phone number and find users. I can also do so in the New Call option on Phone. The only thing that doesn't work is if I choose New > New SMS, where searching for the extension doesn't do anything to find that user. To send them a text, I would use the search bar at the top then click on the matching user, which takes me to the Message dialog.

Sonya's phone number is (xxx) xx5-0789 for their main office and her direct number is (xxx) xx5-0880.

That works, but I need to ensure this works ALL the time, no matter how people search. For instance, myself. I a New Message from the People tab and then select Send Text. If my users are losing text messages because of something I told them to use, this would not be good. Maybe RC will add this feature so I can start to roll out the RC app company wide.

I agree that it should be available from the New Message or New SMS dialog, as well. You should be able to pick the person from your company directory and/or People list in that dialog.

Yes, will be nice to be able to use either app and not worry that my users are losing messages.

Messages between extensions (sent via RC Phone) do not show up in the new Ringcentral desktop app. And messages sent in the new Mobile app do not show up in the old RC Phone app.
