I was just chatting with a rep from ring central regarding the issue that we have fallen victim to our ring central numbers being used in a caller id spoofing scam.  We are then contacted by the victims upset with our business for calling them multiple times regarding a social security number scam and a felony charges scam.  WE HAVE NOT CONTACTED THESE INDIVIDUALS FOR ANY TYPE OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY.  I contacted ring central to see if they can help protect our numbers in anyway and was told it's not their problem and then the representative ended the chat.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL RING CENTRAL.  I would like to see ring central provide some type of service to assist their customers in protecting themselves against their numbers being used in caller id spoofing campaigns.

Hey Michele, I'm sorry for the experience with the Chat agent.

Currently RingCentral does not have any type of protection like this, however, I would highly recommend contacting the FCC - who does have power over these types of things - and report it to them!
