Hi, we're a US-based account. We have multiple businesses in our account, mainly doing outbound calling on their own direct dials.
We're mainly using the Chrome plugin and the mobile app at this point, and we would like the ability to manage which numbers users are receiving in their clients to dial from. Currently our account team has informed us that Main Phone, Main Fax and Direct are the 3 numbers that must be in the client software. On our migration day last week, 2 of those 3 numbers were incorrect. Only direct was accurate after the port.
Main Fax continues to be a temp number that was created during our account setup - so that's confusing to our users. We dont' have a "main fax" at our company and don't really have plans for one. I understand that the account might need a "main fax," but do I need to offer it to my users a as an outbound caller ID?
Main Number has now been recently been updated, but only pertains to 1 portion of our business. It's accurate now and no longer confusing, but our employees are instructed not to use it. More importantly, we have 2 of our business units in our tenant, and this number is only the main number for only one of our businesses. Not being able to put an accurate "Main Number" into the software will be a stopper for us if we start to proceed to bring another business unit into this tenant.
Currently we are 450 lines on the account, with an additional contract for fax features. Our company is ~3000 people in total, but I don't see us being able to progress to that level unless the platform can start to figure out how to handle multiple Business Units within a tenant better.
