Cisco SPA 525G phones get garbled.

I just set up my new wireless Cisco SPA 525G phones and they seem to have problems where the caller's voice gets garbled. Anyone else have this problem?  It seems to be more incoming calls than outgoing.

Have you set up QOS? What is your internet type? and what are your speeds?

I hate to sound ignorant, but what is QOS? We have Optimum, a cable provider. Don't know speeds either.

QOS dedicates bandwidth directly to certain devices - go to speedtest.net and run a test and let us know what the upload and download speeds are.  Any VoIP phones over WiFi don't tend to work well.

That would be why - your speed is not high enough to handle a VoIP call over WiFi. Contact support, they may have suggestions

Also, perform a   Bandwidth  and  QoS  test to determine the current download and upload speed of your Internet connection.
