How do you edit the recipient info in a fax cover page without adding them to contacts?

How do you edit the recipient info in a fax cover page without adding them to contacts? If it's a one time fax it's a little pointless to have to add them to my contact list, but I still need to be able to enter the recipient number as well as the recipient name in the cover sheet. This is across methods of faxing.

Hi Justin,

First, check your version of the Desktop App to  make sure you are on the most recent version. It should show 7.1.1

After you click the fax icon at the bottom of the application, you'll be taken to the screen below.  Just manually type the fax number into the "To" field, and also manually enter the name and company info.  You can preview the cover page by clicking the small icon which looks like an eye.

I did just find out that there is an open issue on our end where the information does not populate to the cover sheet.  I'll update this thread when I have more information

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Custom Fax Cover Sheet Populate TO box with phone number. We are able to add a custom cover sheet using the fields you define in the Sample list on RingCentral for Windows softphone 6.5.  The issue is unless that person is added online to our RingCentral Personal Contacts the TO: field does not fill in the fax number we sending to.  We need the ability to use our own cover sheet and with Disclaimer for HIPAA purposes as well as list the TO: fax number.

Please see RingCentral Case # 03131283
