Calls set to forward to me need option to leave a message if I don't pick up

The boss is on vacation. He set his extension to forward directly to me without going through his greetings settings. If I'm not available it forwards to the next person on my list but just keeps ringing until the caller hangs up. My extension is not using the call settings to allow the caller to leave a message. How do I do that?

Hi Connie, it looks like you have your line set up to accept voice messages, so, all you should need to do is turn off the numbers you are forwarding to. Go to Call Handling & Forwarding and turn off the two switches shown below.
