Porting Question

All,

I currently have an e-Fax number with another provider that I want to port to Ring Central. At any point during the transfer process will faxing be down (unavailable) for that particular number I'm trying to port? Thanks. Best.

In general,  it should be transparent.  Additionally, since fax machines will retry if they don't get through the first time I would not expect to miss any faxes.

Great question.   I am actually a member of the porting department and I can assure you that downtime is not part of the porting process and once a confirmation has been received that the number will port, that transition from the losing provider to the new provider is pretty seamless. You should not experience any lost faxes.

Hey Troy! How do I cancel a porting order? The customer gave me the wrong numbers to port and shame on me for not double checking.
