User Greeting: New Greeting Not Saving

I have recorded new messages in the "Screening, Greeting & Hold Music" section. The audio is what I recorded when I check it online, but when I call our # It's still the old greeting. This is only for the "Select 1, ect feature. I was able to get the main greeting to update.

Dillon,

A few things to check:
1. Make certain that you did not accidentally record a greeting for an extension versus the company greeting.
2. Double check that you did not accidentally record a voice mail greeting versus a company greeting.
3. Double check any Advanced Calling Rules you may have set up. Each one of these can have their own greeting message.
4. Double check any IVR or multi-level IVR settings. Here you may be going to a different location than where you think you are going.

It can be a little confusing when recording a special greeting but all the above locations I mentioned can have their own greetings.

I  am

I am re-doing the extensions - As in when callers choose #1 they hear the hours, but it's still the old recording.

Are you wanting to record a User Greeting, Voicemail Greeting, or Call Queue Greeting? On which extension?

Dillon,

For what it's worth, I have a similar message (hours only) but I do not use a regular extension. I use a Message Only Extension because I let people leave messages if they wish to after hearing the message. You can also use an Announcement Only Extension if you do not want to receive any voice mail messages after the announcement.

However, it sounds like in your situation that there is something still set up somewhere in an IVR or company message location where it is still sending people there. My guess would be an IVR situation where you have another greeting set.
