Any way to manually switch "open" vs "away" phone settings, overriding rules?
Our hours vary. I know you can manually program holidays and exceptions.
But seeing how many things are integrated with the platform.... is there any hardware integrated that can help override rules to say we're away?
like a button to push on the way out the door...
Jeff, There is no current functionality within either the system or the phones that RingCentral supports that will allow that to occur with a one button push. You still have to log into your account on the web portal or Windows or mobile app to change your status.
At this time we currently do not have any settings or functions that would allow a phone to be set to an away status that would play a specific away message.The closest feature would be "Do not disturb" (DND), which would allow you to send calls automatically to voicemail. This will also allow your status for other users that are monitoring you using presence to see that you have placed yourself in DND.
