Forwarding faxes to another fax number

I have a US account.  My business is a medical imaging facility.  I have ring central and there are times that when a fax comes in, I want to forward the fax to another fax number.  I cannot do that because ring central forces me to email instead.  Then, there is no record of me having sent the email.

I have entered my email address in the settings where I should be notified about emails sent from ring central, but that has not worked.  I do get notification to my email address from ring central if a fax comes in.

My suggestion is to enable users the capability of forwarding a fax to another fax recipient without having to first download the incoming fax and then making it an attachment to send it as a fax.  Currently, the only option on forwarding is email.  This would save time for all users.

We have dealt with this same issue since trying to forward FAX's to an EMR for a new Ring Central implementation with a new medical office.  We worked for about two weeks with Ring Central and never could get it to work.   We have had 3 similar instances where we simply left the FAX number on a regular land line so it could be forwarded to the EMR.

We also found out that some EMR's have a FAX number available for individual clients that the client can post as their FAX number.  The only caveat is that it is not a local telephone number.

I believe that Ring Central told us that their FAX system is pure digital and so to try and forward a Ring Central FAX number to an analog FAX system doesn't work.  I also found out that the EMR's don't want to move to a FAX by e-mail system because the EMR's email system is not HIPAA compliant so you have compliance issues on top of the technical issues.

We found the best method, if the EMR doesn't have a Ring Central integration or HIPAA compliant e-mail, is to simply set up or leave the FAX number for the client on a regular land line.

Still no updates on this? I just spent an hour on the phone with support to only be told they would have to disable HIPPA in order to get faxes to more than one extension. How hard can this really be to implement?
