Desktop App: Forward voicemails

On the old softphone there was a functionality to forward a voicemail via email from the softphone. With the new desktop app it does not have that option at least i dont see an option for that?

I have been looking for that also. Instead, I have to actually log in to the website to be able to forward the VM. That's really inconvenient. It would be nice to have full functionality from the desktop app - since that's what I'm using.

Is there a way to transfer a voicemail I have received at my extension to a different extension from the softphone app? I know there are key presses when using a hard phone, however I have failed to find the ability in the softphone.

For now, the easiest way to do this is save the voicemail in the mp3 format, and just email the file.

Well that works but I have found my users dont like that option because it adds a step to the process and leaves files that they dont want saved on their computer. The better option would be to add something inside of the settings menu that would allow you to turn on save to email that would allow that button to give you an option to save to an email for forwarding.

Or give the option there for multiple ways to forward such as a share button instead of save - send in email, send as facebook message, cms integration, etc.

Just a thought...

it would be fine for us to be able to forward/move to another extension as well, saving and resending is cumbersome, by then i would rather pick up my mobile

If it helps, it is possible to forward voice mails via the web portal.

example: voicemail from extension 1 should go in to extension 1 + to extension 2 ?
