RingCentral Meetings: Add numbers to RingCentral Meetings conference number.

Is there a way that a 613 area code number can be added to the list of call-in numbers for the audio stream on RingCentral meetings and conference calling?

My business operated out of the 613 are code and currently it is very frustrating. embarrassing, disappointing and detrimental to business to have to tell my local clients that if they want to use their telephone for the audio on a web-meeting or conference call, they have to dial a long-distance number.

What has to be done, and how long does it take, to add a 613 number to that list?  Please help!!?!?

Hello Josh. I have also asked that a 1 800 number be added to the list because our region does not a have a local number as well.

That's a great idea.  A toll-free number would be an easy, blanket solution.  Hopefully RC creates one ASAP.

I just changed this to an "idea" topic so we can see how much interest there would be in this.  I can see how this may be useful for some users.

A toll free number is greatly needed for conference calls and online meetings.  I'm glad I discovered this issue before my clients got stuck with some long distance calls. If RC is not going to provide toll free numbers for this, that needs to be clarified upfront. I cancelled our LogMeIn's join.me account thinking that we could use the RC meetings that are included in our phone service package but it looks like we will have to go back to join.me and pay extra for a conferencing service. I recently asked my RC rep about this and she said we could add a toll free number to our RC package and then forward those calls to the conferencing number but she that RC didn't recommend it because it doesn't always work. RC needs to come up with a solution.

Great, thank you very much. :)

BTW, how much interest does it take before anything might happen?

Hi Josh,   Sorry, but there isn't really a clear answer I can give you on this because there are so many things to consider. There is not a specific number of requests or "likes" that our Product Managers go by.   We get dozens of requests every week and our Product Team has to consider each request and decide the most beneficial way to allocate resources so that it benefits the most customers.

Hello Mike, I have been following this request for the last year and a half since we become RC customers and asked back then about the 888 number. I have been seeing many request since then but have not seen any solutions.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled RC Meetings dial in for Singapore. Have an RC Meetings dial in for Singapore (with a local number).

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled RC MEETINGS: Needs China Dial In Number. I need to have a participant from CHINA join a RC MEETING with a in-country (Chinese) number.

The Chinese number available in RC audio conferencing DOES NOT accept the RC MEETING ID ( please don't reply to this post with that information).

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add more U.S. Meeting Dial In Numbers.
  1. Account type (U.S., Canada, UK, or AT&T)
  2. Related case number (if applicable)
  3. Detailed description of problem
  4. Goal
  5. Previous troubleshooting steps taken
  6. Software version
  7. If desk-phone related, have you rebooted phone?

We are a Canadian company with many clients (about 50%) that are based in US that we are meeting with via the Ring Central Meetings (video) on a weekly basis. We were very happy to see that for these meetings if we have people who need to dial in to the meeting there are a number of Canadian local number options for them to dial in by (this has been something lacking in the past). That said there seems to be only one dial in number option available to our US clients, often one that is a long-distance option. Is there a way to include more US options on a video meeting for our US clients? Is there a way to automatically have the US number show up in the main list of numbers below (instead of hidden in the international numbers section?)

    Or join by phone:
    Dial:
    647-349-0758 Toronto, ON
    438-794-7943 Montreal, QC
    587-316-7636 Calgary, AB
    431-800-1579 Winnipeg, MB
    778-373-1831 Vancouver, BC
    306-500-6401 Saskatoon, SK Meeting
    ID: 148 680 7512

    International numbers available: https://meetings.ringcentral.com/ca/teleconference

Ultimately we are wanting to make things as easy as possible for our clients.

I am also surprised by this lack of functionality within RingCentral.  We are a new user who was expecting to be able to utilize the RingCentral meetings functionality to handle all of our company's conference call needs.  I have been looking feverishly for the option to change the conference call number but was unable to find anything.  Please, please, please add an option to either select a local area code or a toll-free option for our conference call needs.

Has this been addressed? We just discovered the lack of the toll-free option today and it proved problematic for a client.

Hi Kristin, we will be offering our customers the ability to purchase certain premium numbers which I believe includes toll free. I'm still waiting to hear more about this option so stay tuned! Hopefully I'll hear something about it next quarter.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Provide toll-free number for video / audio conferences.. I would like the idea of adding the ability for conference participants to dial into a Toll-free number.  We have conferences with a volunteer committee that we do not want them or their parent organization to incur a cost of a toll number.  If a Toll-free number were an option (even if charged back to the host) that would make Ring Central a much more palatable option.
1. US
2. Credentialing body
3. Ring Central Meetings
4.Planned conference with multiple participants
5. No cost incurred on volunteer members
6. N/A
