Why won't RingCentral's softphone connect to the internet?

I reinstalled ring central and rebooted machine. Still would not connect even though I am able to connect to the internet through google chrome and firefox no problem. The only way ring central will connect to the internet is if I initiate my VPN. Ring Central is installed on my local machine.
