How do you forward calls to a mobile device and use the mobile voicemail if nobody answers?

When forwarding your calls to a mobile device you can set the system to make sure that voicemails will go to your mobile's voicemail instead of going back to your RingCentral mailbox. Just follow these steps to set it up:

(1) Go to Call Handling & Forwarding and click Advanced in the upper right corner.

(2) Click on Add Rule.

(3) Fill in a name for the rule, select Called Number as the condition, and click Next.

(4) The list of numbers are all the numbers that go to that extension. Since you want this rule to affect all calls going to the extension select all of them and then click Next.

(5) Click Next on the next screen to come up which shows a summary of the numbers you .

(6) On the final screen select Unconditional Forwarding, enter the cell number you want to forward to, and click Done.

Now when a call comes in it will be forwarded to your mobile device, and if nobody answers it will go to the mobile voicemail. Note that you'll have to check these messages from your mobile voicemail. Since they're not being stored on the RingCentral system you won't be able to access them from the online portal or the apps. Also be advised this advanced rule will override whatever you have set in "Screening, Greeting, & Hold Music," "Call Handling & Forwarding," and "Messages & Notifications" for your extension. Unfortunately there's no way around that when using unconditional forwarding.  As long as you're fine with that though you'll be good to go!
