Would HIPPA setting affect SMS usage?

If I were to enable the HIPPA compliance setting, would an account's ability to send and receive SMS messages be affected? Also, would I be able to continue using the Ringcentral Developer API to send and receive SMS messages from said account?

Josh,

SMS data would be deleted automatically after 30 days. There is a knowledge based article which covers RingCentral HIPPA ramifications.....
